Meet the Goats

I thought you might want to meet the goats that have taken over the farm and my heart. I am currently only milking two ladies but fingers crossed I will have kids popping out left and right come mid February. Goats are not the only livestock we have on the farm. My first love has always been my cows. We've been raising beef cattle my whole life and I never thought goats would even come close but I was wrong! But My heart is big enough for both my ruminant herds. Big and Small.

Aren't they just Beautiful?!

Now let me introduce you to the inspiration behind the logo.... Miss Maple. Maple is a Nigerian Dwarf with an attitude WAY bigger than she is! But she is also the sweetest little lady. She's got horns and she's not afraid to use them, on the dogs, the cats, other goats, but she knows better than to use them on her people.

Maple and my great niece Poppy were fast friends

Maple is the first goat I ever milked and she is also the first one of ours ever to kid on the farm. So I guess we can blame my goat fever on one little frosted eared goat with a great big attitude.
